The wedding party

Meet the incredible friends and family who are standing by our side as we begin this journey together. Each of them has played a special role in our lives, and we're so grateful to have them with us on our big day!

Bridal Party

COLTON AMES
-Man of honor-

Colton and I have been best friends since high school, and he and Zane became fast friends in college, bonding over Pokemon and gaming. Whether it’s battling in-game or going on adventures with our dogs, Lily and Mia, Colton has always been there and is one of my favorite people. I’m so lucky to have him as my Man of Honor on this special day.

KYLIE WILSON
-Bridesmaid-

Kylie is one of those rare people who makes everything better. She patiently stuck by me while it took two years to finish the Harry Potter books (when she could’ve finished in months), and has always been a source of joy and support. From her love of all things cute (especially cats) to the countless memories we have with our dogs, I’m so thankful she came into my life.

LINDSAY ABBOTT
-BRidesmaid-

Although we met through Aaron, Lindsay and I became fast friends, and over the years, our bond has only grown stronger. We’ve shared so many laughs, including agreeing to stay far away from pumpkin patches after a memorable trip. Lindsay is someone I can always count on, and I’m so grateful for her friendship and support. I’m thrilled to have her join us on our big day!

MIRANDA JOINES
-Bridesmaid-

Miranda and I have shared so many great memories, from high school adventures to reconnecting in recent years. She’s one of the most loyal and thoughtful people I know—like the time she braved a Hollywood Undead concert with me for my birthday, even though she was extremely sick! I’m so glad to have her back in my life, and I’m excited to celebrate with her!

RACHEL MIHALKO
-BRidesmaid-

From the moment we met, Rachel and I clicked. We bonded over the funny similarities between Zane and Taylor, and it didn’t take long for me to consider her family. She's such a sweet, fun, caring person, and I’m so thankful to have her in my life. I can’t wait to officially be her sister in law after all of these years!

KELSEY CARVELLI
-BRidesmaid-

Though we haven’t known each other long, Kelsey quickly became someone I can count on. Her kindness and thoughtfulness mean so much to me, and I’m so grateful she agreed to be a bridesmaid. If you get the chance, ask this Lego expert to show you a picture of her collection—it’s truly amazing!

JACKIE & GERALD SMART
-MOTHER/FLUTIST & FATHER OF THE BRIDE-

Words can’t fully capture how amazing these two are. They’ve shaped me into who I am today, and I’m so thankful for their endless love and support. From my dad, who still joins Zane and me for video games at 60, to my mom, who’ll be playing her flute at our wedding, they’ve always been there for me. I’m so honored to have them both by my side on this special day.

DON LOGAN
-OFFICIANT & GRANDFATHER OF THE BRIDE-

Don is not just my grandpa, but also one of the goofiest and most amazing people I know. I’m beyond honored that he’ll be officiating our wedding. Having him guide us through this big day means the world to me. I’m so lucky to have him by my side.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

-Lyss

Groomsmen

RICK LORD
-BEST MAN-

I met Rick 10 years ago playing a video game called Destiny. My team played against his, and we won. It’s a small world because we ended up having a mutual friend, and after meeting in person, we became the best of friends. I truly couldn’t imagine my life without him—his loyalty and humor mean the world to me.

TAYLOR MIHALKO
-GROOMSMAN-

Taylor is my little brother, though you might think we’re twins given how much we look alike. Watching you grow up has been incredible, and I’m so lucky we’ve become not just brothers, but real friends. Even though you’re all the way in North Carolina, every moment we get together is something I cherish. (And yes, I’ll always be jealous of your ability to grow a beard!)

DYLAN SOWERS
-GROOMSMAN-

Dylan was my first friend when I moved to Beaver Falls from York. We bonded over some “questionable” decisions in Ms. Bengal's class (like throwing erasers), but those moments turned into a friendship for life. Dylan’s been with me through thick and thin, and I’m grateful to have him by my side for this big day.

ZACH NERI
-GROOMSMAN-

I met Zach through Destiny—another game connection turned lifelong friendship. He’s also a friend of Lyss’s Man of Honor from college, and between us, I’d estimate we’ve logged thousands of hours in the game together. It’s amazing how gaming can bring together people who share the same interests, and I’m glad to count Zach as one of those people.

AARON ABBOTT
-GROOMSMAN-

Aaron was the first friend I made when I started my career as an automotive technician. From the beginning, I learned so much from him, and I’m grateful for the guidance he’s given me, both professionally and personally. We’ve shared plenty of memories together, and I’m lucky to have him as a lifelong friend.

MIKE CARVELLI
-GROOMSMAN-

Mike is my newest friend, and we met at my new job at Audi. Though we’ve only known each other for a short time, I can already tell he’s great friend material. It’s amazing how quickly we clicked after years of working in a place where I didn’t have much in common with my coworkers. Hanging out with Mike and his wife has been a blast, and I’m excited to see where this friendship goes!

JACKI & BOB MIHALKO
-MOTHER & FATHER OF THE GROOM-

I’m incredibly lucky to have such a strong, supportive, and loving family, and my dad and stepmom are a huge part of that. From teaching me life lessons to showing me what true partnership looks like, their guidance has been invaluable. They’ve been through so much together, and their unwavering love and dedication to each other and our family is something I admire deeply. I’m so grateful to have them by my side as I begin this next chapter of my life.

MICHELLE JOHNSON
-MOTHER OF THE GROOM-

Our journey together has been full of growth and learning, and I’m so thankful for the love and support we’ve shared. While life has had its challenges, it's the moments of connection that truly matter. I’m excited to celebrate this special day with her and look forward to the future with a heart full of gratitude.

APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

-Zane
